Gardai at Balbriggan arrested a 47 year old man on Saturday evening in the North County Dublin area as part of an operation into child pornography on the internet.
Gardai at Balbriggan, in conjunction with officers from the Garda Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Unit, National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, with cooperation from our colleagues in the Police Service of Northern Ireland, other UK Police Forces and Law Enforcement in the United States, arrested a 47 year old man on Saturday evening in the North County Dublin area as part of an operation into child pornography on the internet.
He was detained at Balbriggan Garda Station under the provisions of S.4 Criminal Justice Act and will appear before a sitting of Swords District Court at 10.30 am this morning (Monday) in connection with the investigation.
