Drug Seizure in Cork - 19/11/08

App. €5000,000 cannabis seized by Cort City Divisional Drugs Unit

Following an ongoing operation by the Cork City Divisional Drugs Unit, a house was searched in the northside of Cork city last night at approximately 8pm (19/11/2008).

During the course of the search cannabis with an estimated street value of approximately €500,000 (subject to analysis) was seized.

One man in his 30s was arrested and is currently detained at Fermoy Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
