Approx. €500,000 of cocaine & cannabis seized in Dublin Airport in last 2 days
Following an operation by the Santry Drugs Unit and the Revenue's Customs Service supported by the Garda National Drugs Unit and the Garda National Immigration Bureau, Cocaine and Herbal Cannabis with a potential street value of €500,000 has been seized at Dublin Airport over the last two days.
Two South African Females and a Portuguese male have been arrested.
A 24year old female was arrested yesterday at 3pm( 18/11/08) at Dublin Airport and is currently detained at Ballymun Garda Station.
A second 25 year old female was arrested yesterday at 6.30pm (18/11/08) at Dublin Airport and was detained at Ballymun Garda Station. She appeared at Dublin District Court this afternoon. (19/11/08) She was remanded in custody to appear at Blanchardstown District Court on Tuesday next.
A 40 year old male was arrested at 12.25pm today (19/11/08) and is currently detained at Whitehall Garda Station.
All prisoners were detained under Section 2 Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
