The post-mortem examination being carried out on the body of John McManus in Cork University Hospital has been completed.
In conjunction with the Garda Investigation into the discovery of a body at Ladies Walk, Ballyduff, Kerry on Thursday Nov. 6th 2008, Gardai are looking for witnesses who may have observed a dark grey Opel Astra 97 D 14747 which was in the Tralee area on Wed. Nov. 5th and Thurs Nov. 6th.
This car is also believed to have been in the North Kerry area on Thursday morning Nov. 6th 2008.
Gardai are appealing for any persons who may have observed this car to make contact with Listowel Garda Station on 068 50820. Any information will be treated in confidence.

The incident is now being investigated as a murder.
The results of the post-mortem will not be made known at this time for operational reasons.

Gardai at Listowel investigating the discovery of the body of a male in the Ballyduff area of North Kerry yesterday evening (6th November 2008) have formally identified the body as being that of missing 25 year old John McManus from Wellinton Road in Cork City.

A post-mortem examination of the body is currently continuing in Cork University Hospital.

Gardaí at Listowel are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a male in the Ballyduff area of North Kerry.
The discovery was made in an open area shortly after 5.30pm this evening.
The services of the State Pathologist and Garda Scenes of Crime Examiners have been requested.
No identification has been made and investigations are ongoing.
The scene of the discovery is being preserved.
There is no further information available at this time.

Gardaí at Watercourse Road are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 25 year old John Mc Manus who was last seen in the Mayfield area of Cork City on Thursday last, 30 Oct 2008.
John has an address in the Wellington Road area of the city.
He is described as being 5' 8'' tall with slim build and short brown hair.
When last seen he was wearing a black tracksuit bottoms, white runners and a light blue hoody.
He was also unshaven.
His family are concerned for his safety.
