An ongoing Garda operation targeting serious criminal activity in the Dublin region.
As part of an ongoing Garda operation targeting serious criminal activity in the Dublin region Gardai from Kevin Street and Kilmainham Garda Stations assisted by Gardai from the Special Detective Unit carried our searches at eleven houses at south Dublin city centre in the early hours of the 28th of May 2008.
A 24 year old man was arrested and a substantial quantity of ammunition was seized during the searches. Gardai also recovered a quantity of illegal drugs.
The man was detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Kevin Street Garda Station and later released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution.
