In a planned Garda Operation, a man in his late twenties was arrested by Gardai from the Emergency Response Unit on Pigeon House Road, Dublin.
As part of a planned Garda Operation, a man in his late twenties was arrested by Gardai from the Emergency Response Unit on Pigeon House Road, Dublin 4, at 13.15 h on the 8th of May 2008.
A Taser device was deployed during the arrest.
Following the discovery of a possible suspect device, Gardai requested the assistance of an Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal team.
The operation is ongoing and the area remains sealed off.
The arrested man is detained at Blackrock Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and can be detained for up to 72 hours.
