Gardaí attached to Belmullet are investigating an incident that occurred in the early hours of the 29/3/08 in a house at College Park, Logmore, Belmullet, Co. Mayo.
At approximately 1.45am a male caller requested Gardaí to attend the scene.
On arrival, Gardaí found one male Polish National in his mid 20's seriously injured.
Ambulance personnel were already in attendance.
The man was taken to Mayo General Hospital where examination confirmed a serious head injury an he was consequently transferred to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.
A party was being held in this house at the time of this occurrence and all circumstances that led to this man being injured are being investigated at present.
