The man fatally injured in a single vehicle road collision in Portlaoise on Wednesday, March 26th has been officially named as 69 year old Patrick Deegan from Vickerstown.

Gardai from Portlaoise Garda Station, Laois are investigating a single vehicle fatal road collision which happened at Vickerstown, Portlaoise.
A car was found submerged in the Grand Canal at noon today and the body of a male, aged 70 years, was discovered in the car.
The body was removed from the car to Portlaoise Hospital.
