Gardaí at Loughrea are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred shortly after 2.30pm on the 25/3/08 on the N6, near Kilrickle Village, Galway.
Two teenage girls were fatally injured when the car in which they were travelling lost control and collided with a pole.
Their bodies remain at scene.
There were 7 people in the car in total.
Out of the 5 remaining occupants 3 were taken to Portiuncula Hospital and 2 were taken to Galway University Hospital.
This road is closed and motorists are asked to avoid this area if possible.
