Gardai from Blacksod Garda Station, Co. Mayo are investigating a single vehicle fatal road collision which happened this morning 18th March, 2008 at 5.30 a.m. at Eachleim, Blacksod, Ballina, Co. Mayo.
A female aged 22 years was fatally injured when the car she was a passenger in left the road and ended up in a field.
She has been removed to Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar where she was pronounced dead.
Two other males who were also in the car have been taken to Mayo General Hospital and are receiving treatment for their injuries.
There injuries are believed not to be life threatening.
