Garda National Drugs Unit and Revenue Customs assisted by local Garda Units from the Meath and Longford/Westmeath Divisions have seized heroin and cash.
A 39 year old man has appeared at a special sitting of Dunshaughlin District Court on the 17/3/08, charged in relation to drugs seizure on the 16/3/08 in counties Meath and Westmeath.
The 25 year old female has been released without charge.
The second man who was arrested as part of the same operation remains in custody at Kells Garda station
The remaining person in custody will appear before Dublin District Court number 44 on the 17/3/08 at 10.30am in relation to the above seizure.

In a joint operation coordinated by the Garda National Drugs Unit and Revenue Customs assisted by local Garda Units from the Meath and Longford/Westmeath Divisions have seized heroin and cash following a combined operation in counties Meath and Westmeath.
During the course of this operation 10kgs of a substance believed to be heroin, with an estimated street value (pending forensic analysis) of 2 million euro was seized as well as €250,000.00 cash.
Three people have been arrested (2 males, aged 39 and 28 years and a 25 year old female) and are detained at Kells Garda Station (2 males) and Ronanstown (1 female) Garda Station.
All three people are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.
