As a result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Limerick City, Gardaí from the Divisional Drug's Unit, based at Henry Street, searched a house in the Moyross.
Gardai have released the 36 year old man detained in relation to the drug seizure in Limerick on the 21/03/08, a file will be prepared for the Director of Public prosecutions.

As a result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Limerick City, Gardaí from the Divisional Drug's Unit, based at Henry Street, searched a house in the Moyross area at approximately mid-day on the 21/3/08.
During the course of this search just over 2kg's of heroin and a small amount of cocaine were seized.
The street value of this seizure is estimated to be €500,000 depending on an analysis of the substances seized.
A 36 year old man was arrested at the scene and is presently detained under section 2 of The Drug Trafficking Act at Henry Street Garda Station.
