Gardaí at Ashbourne are investigating a serious road traffic collision that occurred on the N2 at the Rath Roundabout, Co. Meath shortly before 6.15pm this evening.
A truck and a car collided which resulted in the male driver and sole occupant of the car incurring serious injuries.
Emergency services attended the scene and the man has been taken to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Traffic coming from the N2 by pass going North is being diverted via Curragha.
There is no update on the man's injuries and Gardaí remain at scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
