Gardai in Sligo are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the main Sligo to Bundoran Road, close to Sligo.
Gardai in Sligo are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the main Sligo to Bundoran Road, close to Sligo at approximately 11.40am today (3/6/2008).
It was a two vehicle collision involving a car and a lorry.
The driver of the car, a woman in her early 80s, was fatally injured.
She was the only occupant of the car and was taken to Sligo General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the truck received minor injuries.
The road at the scene of the crash is currently closed, diversions are in place.
