In an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Cabra and Blanchardstown areas of Dublin.
As the result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Cabra and Blanchardstown areas of Dublin Gardaí stopped and searched a car in the Castleknock area this morning.
The car was stopped and searched at approximately 7am. During the course of this search a quantity of Cannabis Resin was seized.
This seizure has a potential street value in excess of 1.5 million Euros, depending on an analysis of the substances seized.
The driver and sole occupant of the car was also arrested. He is a 20 year old male from the Cabra area and is presently detained pursuant to Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
This operation was carried out by the Blanchardstown Drugs Unit, assisted by GNDU.
