As part of an planned operation Gardai from Carlow Drug Unit and assisted by the Garda National Drugs Unit stopped a motor car on the Dublin Road, Carlow this afternoon at 12.30 p.m. 29th July, 2008.
During the course of this operation the car was searched and a quantity of drugs believed to be Cannabis resin was seized with an estimated street value of €120,000 pending analysis.
One man aged 21 years has been arrested and is currently detained at Carlow Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
