As part of an operation by the Drogheda Garda Drug Unit, assisted by Gardai from Cavan, a planned search was conducted at Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan on the 25/07/08 and court appearance.
The 37 year old man arrested in relation to Friday's drug seizure in Cavan has been charged and will appear before Carrickmacross District Court tomorrow morning, 28/7/08, at 10.30am.

As part of an operation by the Drogheda Garda Drug Unit, assisted by Gardai from Cavan, a planned search was conducted at a farm and outhouses on the outskirts of Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan on Friday evening the 25/07/08.
During the course of this search a large quantity of what is believed to be cocaine, subject to analysis, and mixing agent were found. A firearm was also recovered.
A 37 year old male was arrested at scene and brought to Drogheda Garda Station where he is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2, Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
He can be detained for a period of up to 7 days.
