Gardai at Crumlin investigating the death of David Rooney who was the victim of an alleged assault on Clonmacnoise Road, Crumlin in Dublin on the 2/7/08.
Gardai at Crumlin investigating the death of David Rooney (previous releases below refer) have arrested two males in Dublin this morning - 24th July 2008.
A 17 year old male is being detained in Sundrive Road Garda Station and a 19 year old male is being detained in Crumlin Garda Station.
Both are being held under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. They can be held for a period of up to 24 hours.
The male and female arrested on the 22nd of July were released pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardai at Crumlin investigating the death of David Rooney (previous release 841/08 below refers) have arrested a male and a female in Dublin this morning - 22nd July 2008.
Both are 18 years of age and are being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act. The male is being detained at Sundrive Road Garda Station and the female is being detained at Crumlin Garda Station.
There is no further information at present.

A 35 year old man who was the victim of an alleged assault on Clonmacnoise Road, Crumlin in Dublin on the 2nd of July 2008 has died at St James' Hospital.
The man was pronounced dead yesterday evening the 12th of July 2008.
The dead man has been named as David Rooney of Durrow Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12.
A post mortem examination will be carried out by the State Pathologist on Monday, 14th of July to establish the exact cause of death.
An incident room was set up at Sundrive Road Garda Station following the initial incident and the investigation is ongoing.
Gardai would like anyone who was in the Sundrive Road/ Clonmacnoise Circle area of Dublin, on the 2nd of July 2008 between 8.30 p.m. and 8.45 p.m., to contact them at Sundrive Road Garda Station on 01 666 6600.
