Drug searches were carried out at Greenfort Park, Clondalkin Dublin 22.
As part of an ongoing operation into the supply of drugs in the Lucan area of Dublin, drug searches were carried out at Greenfort Park, Clondalkin Dublin 22 at approximately 7.00pm on Thursday, the 24/1/2008. The operation is aimed at disrupting the activities of drug dealers in the district.
The searches were carried out by District Drugs units and Detective units with assistance provided by local regular units and the Divisional Task Force.
During the course of the searches a quantity of drugs and assorted paraphanalia were recovered.
The drugs, subject to analysis, are believed to be heroin and are estimated to have a street value of €15,000.
One man in his late teens has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 2 the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
