Gardaí in Fitzgibbon Street Station are dealing with a building called "Intertool" which is located at the junction of Rusell Street and the North Circular Road which has been declared dangerous.
Following a review at the site of the dangerous building at Russel Street / North Circular Road, it has been decided that traffic restrictions will remain in place until at least 2p.m. on Sunday, the 20th of January 2008.

Gardaí in Fitzgibbon Street Station are dealing with a building called "Intertool" which is located (close to Croke Park Stadium) at the junction of Rusell Street and the North Circular Road which has been declared dangerous. This is a three storey building and already there has been a partial collapse of the structure. Dublin City council and engineers are currently on site.
In the interest of safety the area around the site is now closed to all traffic and restricted access will apply. These restrictions will remain in place until 3pm on Saturday, 19th January 2008 when the situation will be reviewed. An update will be provided at this time.
1. Fitzgibbon Street is closed at the top of Mountjoy Square East - no traffic is permitted to enter at this junction.
2. North Circular Road Junction with North Great Georges Street - traffic is diverted at this point - no traffic is permitted to travel towards Gills Corner.
3. North Circular Road Junction with Belvedere Road - Traffic is diverted at this point - no traffic is permitted to travel towards Gills Corner.
4. Clonliffe Road Junction with Jones Road - only local access for residents/businesses. ie. Jones Road is closed.
5. Russell Street - Garda on duty to prevent (any local access) vehicles proceeding beyond Russell Street Bridge.
Gardai would ask the public to avoid the areas if possible.
