Mr Furlong arrived on the 2nd of February 2008 and was reported missing on that day.
Gardai are seeking the public's help in tracing the whereabouts of 65 year old John Furlong.
John traveled to Ireland from Manchester on the 2nd of February 2008 with his daughter.
He was last seen at about 12.10 pm on Saturday, the 2nd February at a bus stop on Merrion Road, outside the Merrion Shopping Centre, close to St Vincent's Hospital. He may have gotten a bus into Dublin city centre.
John is described as 1.78m (5'10'') and of stocky build. When last seen he was wearing grey trousers, cream jumper, green jacket and black shoes. He had a pair of glasses hanging around his neck and he walks with a pronounced limp.
John suffers from short term memory loss and there are concerns for his safety.
