Gardai from Finglas investigating the non fatal shooting of a 41 year old male on the 15th of November 2008 at Cardiffsbridge Road, Finglas have arrested a 24 year old male this morning the 2nd of December 2008 in the Ballymun area of the city. He is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Finglas Garda Station.
The injured man remains in the Mater Hospital, where he is recovering from his injuries.

The prisoner detained at Finglas was released this morning, file to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The prisoner at Blanchardstown was released from the provisions of section 30 this morning but remains in custody due an outstanding arrest warrant relating to a separate matter.

Gardaí at Finglas are investigating a non fatal shooting that occurred on Cardiffsbridge Road shortly before mid-day today.
A 41 year old man was shot a number of times and was removed from the scene by ambulance to the Mater Hospital where his condition is now described as being critical but stable.
The man was initially shot as he sat in a car and was shot again as he made his way to the garden of a house.
A handgun was used in this incident.
Shortly afterwards 2 men were arrested , both aged 20 years, and were taken to Blanchardstown and Finglas Garda Stations where they are currently being detained under section 30 of The Offences Against The state Act.
In the aftermath of this shooting the investigation team undertook a number of searches across the city.
A van was also recovered that was believed to have been used in the incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
