As part of an on-going operation investigating the activities of a North Dublin based group of criminals, the Criminal Assets Bureau carried out a number of planned searches of properties and update.
A 34 year old man arrested on Wednesday in relation to the Criminal Assets Bureau investigation into a North Dublin based group of criminals will appear before Dublin District Court 44 this morning.
The other man has been released without charge.

Earlier today - Wednesday 10th December 2008 - as part of an on-going operation investigating the activities of a North Dublin based group of criminals, the Criminal Assets Bureau carried out a number of planned searches of properties. The properties searched consisted of 5 residential properties and 4 business premises situated in Cavan, Meath and Dublin.
Two persons were arrested on suspicion of having committed offences contrary to Section 31 Criminal Justice Act 1994 (money laundering the proceeds of drug trafficking) and are currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 Drug Trafficking Act.
The two males are currently being detained at Kevin Street and Crumlin Garda Stations.
