During the night a number of raiders (at least 5) entered a house in the Rathcoole area. They threatened the occupants of the house, a husband and wife and one adult daughter.
During the night a number of raiders (at least 5) entered a house in the Rathcoole area. They threatened the occupants of the house, a husband and wife and one adult daughter.
The man was taken to his work premises in the Bluebell area of Dublin at 6 a.m. this morning and the wife and daughter remained captive in their home.
A sum of money was handed over and a short time later the wife and daughter were released.
No injuries were received to anyone.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen a Silver Renault Laguna car in the Rathcoole area at 8.30 a.m. this morning 23rd December, 2008 or anyone with information to please contact Naas Garda Station at 045.884300.
