Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in her 40’s who was discovered with serious injuries at a house in Howth and updates.
Gardai in Clontarf investigating the murder of Celine Cawley, have, this morning charged the male who was arrested on Saturday morning 20th December, 2008.
He will remain in custody and will appear before Dublin District Court 44 on Monday morning at 10.30 a.m.

As part of the investigation into the murder of Celine Cawley, gardai arrested a male earlier this morning (20.12.08). He is being detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Clontarf Garda Station.

Gardai investigating the death on a woman in Howth this morning have issued an appeal to the public.
They are keen to talk to anyone who may have seen a male acting suspiciously in the Windgate rd / Carrickbrach Road or the summit area of Howth between 9am and 10.30am this morning. The male is discribed as being of slight build and between 5'10 and 5'11 in height wearing or carrying a balaclava.
Any member of the public who may have seen this man is asked to contact the incident room at Clontarf Garda Station 01-6664833, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardai at Clontarf will hold a press briefing at 4.30pm today in Clontarf Garda Station in relation to death of a woman in Howth.

Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in her 40’s who was discovered with serious injuries at a house in Howth.
The discovery was made at approximately 10am this morning.
This woman was taken to Beaumont Hospital where death was pronounced shortly before 11am.
The scene is preserved at present and the services of The State Pathologist and The Garda Technical Bureau have been requested.
An incident room has been set up at Clontarf Garda Station and anyone with information to offer is asked to contact 01 6664833.
