Gardaí at Charleville are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N20 at Main Street, Charleville, Cork.
Gardaí at Charleville are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N20 at Main St., Charleville, Cork at approximately 2.45pm this afternoon.
A female pedestrian, believed to be in her 70's, was killed when she was hit by a lorry.
Death was pronounced at scene and her body remains in situ.
The road is closed at present and diversions are in place.
Motorists are asked to avoid the route if possible and witnesses should contact Gardaí at Charleville on 063 21770.
