Gardai at Longford town are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Bornacoola, Carrick On Shannon, Co Leitrim at approximately 8.21am this morning (18/12/08).
Gardai at Longford have named the 36 year old man who died as a result of a collision at Bornacoola, Carrick On Shannon, Co. Leitrim on 18/12/08 as Martin Gorham from Bornacoola, Carrick-On-Shannon.

Gardai at Longford town are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Bornacoola, Carrick On Shannon, Co Leitrim at approximately 8.21am this morning (18/12/08)
A 36 year old man(only occupant of the 4 X 4 vehicle) was fatally injured as a result of this collision. His body was removed to the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar where a post mortem will take place later today.
The scene was technically examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
The road has now re-opened.
