Attempted armed robbery at Rathfarnham on the 12/12/08 and updates.
All 5 people detained in relation to this incident have now been released without charge.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions and will be forwarded on completion.

A 25 year old female was arrested last night in relation to yesterdays attempted robbery in Rathfarnham.
She is detained at Rathmines Garda Station under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.
That brings the total number of people presently in custody to five.

In relation to the attempted robbery in Rathfarnham this afternoon (Please see Press Release below) Gardai have made two further arrests this evening (12/12/08).
The two men a 36 year old & a 27 year old are detained in Crumlin and Terenure Garda Stations under Section 30 Offences Against The State Act.
A total of four men are now detained in relation to this incident.

Gardai at Rathfarnham in Dublin are investigating an attempted robbery at a credit union which occurred this afternoon (12/12/08) in Rathfarnham Village.
A 4 X 4 vehicle drove at the entrance of the Credit Union shortly after it closed for business at approximately 5pm.
The vehicle then left the scene and was abandoned a short distance away.
Two men have been arrested and are currently detained at Rathfarnham and Tallaght Garda Stations under Section 30 Offences Against The State Act.
No money was taken and no injuries sustained during this incident, Gardai are also investigating reports that a number of shots were fired.
