Gardaí at Kilkee are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 4.15pm this afternoon on the N67 at Dough.
A 19 year old female was killed when the car she was driving was in collision with another car. She was the sole occupant of the car and her body will be removed to Limerick Regional Hospital for a post mortem tomorrow afternoon.
There were 2 occupants of the other car, both of whom sustained injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. They are being treated at Ennis General Hospital.
The road is closed at present and diversions are in place.
