Gardaí from the Finglas, Blanchardstown and Cabra Detective Units searched houses.
As a result of an ongoing operation targeting serious crime in the Finglas area Gardaí from the Finglas, Blanchardstown and Cabra Detective Units searched 3 houses on Mc Kelvey Ave at approximately 7.30am this morning.
During the course of these searches a handgun, a sawn off shotgun, ammunition and cocaine were seized.
The cocaine has an estimated street value of €70,000, depending on an analysis of the substances seized.
A 27 year old was also arrested and is presently detained in Blanchardstown under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.
The OCU (Organised Crime Unit) assisted in this operation.
There is no further information for release at this time.
