Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Seamus Delaney from Barnacor, Ballymahon, Co. Longford.
Gardai investigating the disappearance of 52 year old Seamus Delaney have, with the assistance of a local Sub Aqua Unit recovered the body of a man in the Inny River near Ballymahon at 8pm on the 10th of April 2008.
The body has been identified as that of Mr Delaney and has been removed to Mullingar General Hospital, where a post mortem examination will be carried out.

Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 51 year old Seamus Delaney from Barnacor, Ballymahon, Co. Longford.
Seamus was last seen at his home at 9.00am on Sunday the 6th April 2008.
He is described as being 5' 11'' tall, of slim build, and of ruddy complexion.
When last seen Seamus was wearing blue jeans, a green body warmer top, a dark blue jumper and black wellington boots.
