Gardai investigating the death of James Cronin and other recent incidents in the South-hill area of Limerick carried out a search at a field in O'Malley Park, Limerick on the 9th April 2008.
As a result of the search they discovered what is believed to be approximately 30,000 ecstacy tablets.
The tablets subject to analysis may have a street value of approximately €300,000.
The search was performed by the Limerick Divisional search team, supported by search teams from the southern region. Divisional dog units were also deployed. Searches in the area are on-going.
Gardai at Roxboro Road Garda Station are renewing their appeal for anyone with information which may assist their investigtion into the death of James Cronin to contact Roxboro Road Garda Station on 061-214340.
