Suspicious package left in the carpark of a public house on Greenhills Road, Tallaght.
Shortly before 5pm on the 21/04/2008 we received a call to our control centre to the effect that there was a suspicious package left in the carpark of a public house on Greenhills Road, Tallaght.
On arrival at scene Tallaght Gardaí located a bag in the carpark and the area was immediately sealed off.
The Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit were contacted and they arrived shortly before 7pm.
It was established that the bag contained component parts for the making of pipe bombs.
The matter is being investigated by the Tallaght Detective Unit.
There is no further information for release.
