Update Court Appearance 19th March 2024 - An Garda Síochána (Anti-Corruption Unit) investigation in the Dublin Region

The Garda Anti-Corruption Unit has been carrying out an investigation into the activities of a particular Garda unit based in the Dublin Region.

Since the start of this investigation four (4) members of An Garda Síochána have been suspended from duty.

One man, a member of An Garda Síochána, has been charged and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, this morning 19th March 2024.

As this is an ongoing criminal investigation An Garda Síochána is making no further comment.
