Drug seizure and arrest an the Bridewell area of Dublin on the 18/12/09

As part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin area Gardai have seized drugs and arrested a male in his 50’s following a search on the 18/12/09.

At approximately 3pm, a house in the Bridewell area of North Dublin was searched under warrant by Gardai from the North Central Drugs unit based at Store Street Garda Station. The search resulted in cocaine with an estimated street value of €70,000 (subject to analysis) and BZP tablets, with an estimated street value of €500,000 (subject to analysis), been recovered.


A male in his 50’s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
