Gardaí in Dublin Seize Drugs €200,000

Gardaí have seized drugs with an estimated street value in excess of €200,000 (analysis pending) and made two arrests during an operation involving the North Central Divisional Drugs and Traffic Units in Dublin.

Cannabis (resin & herb) and Cocaine was seized when Gardaí searched a house in the Raheny area last night (16/3/2017). A man and woman in their 50s were arrested. They are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Store Street Garda Station and can be held for up to seven days.
The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.
Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
